Research Interests

Dynamical systems, chemical reaction network theory, and mathematical biology. I am particularly interested in the interplay between reaction network structure and the qualitative behavior of nonlinear differential equations.

Current Work

Convex Geometric Criteria for Weighted Horn–Jackson Dissipation

This work studies the existence of positive diagonal weights that make weighted Horn–Jackson functions non-increasing in generalized mass-action systems. It establishes finite convex-geometric criteria under specified assumptions on reaction network structure. Future studying plans please see the discussion part in the preprint below.

Evolutionary Origin of dgcY in Halophilic Bacteria

This project investigates the evolutionary origin of dgcY in halophilic bacteria through comparative genomics and phylogenetic analysis. It examines the incongruence between DgcY and 16S rRNA phylogenies, the genomic context of the Doe gene cluster, and the possibility of horizontal gene transfer.
